Several reports suggest that Sony is set to unveil the five Xperia Z6 variants along with an Xperia Z6 Lite model around the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in late February. It’s been almost four months since Sony released the Xperia Z5 model and now the company focuses upon the imminent launch of the Z6 series.

The five different Xperia Z6 smartphones include a 4-inch Xperia Z6 Mini, a 4.6-inch Xperia Z6 Compact, a 5.2-inch Xperia Z6, a 5.8-inch Xperia Z6 Plus and also a 6.4-inch Xperia Z6 Ultra. The alleged Xperia Z6 Lite will come with a 5-inch screen size with resolutions which are still unknown.

Furthermore, the Xperia Z6 Lite is expected to sport a metal rear cover and a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor tucked inside the phone. As for the price, the Z6 Lite may come with a tentative price tag of US$385 (approx. AU$542), reports Forbes.

The Xperia Z6 Lite handset will be sold in the market soon and will be positioned between Xperia Z6 and Xperia Z6 Compact. Sony will reportedly include metallic designs for its smartphones in 2016.

You can expect new designs from the Xperia Z6 flagship models. Sony will follow Apple’s strategy of using glass and metal back covers for its iPhone 6. You may witness similar design concepts in the upcoming Sony smartphone series.

Now that the Z6 variants along with the Z6 Lite are lined up for release next month, it is believed that the upcoming smartphones will offer exclusive specifications to meet varying needs of customers. They can now make smart choices between different screen sizes of Z6 series.

There are reports which indicate that the Sony Xperia Z6 camera will be one of the best. The cameras are expected to come with very high resolutions, reports GospelHerald.
