“Castle” Season 8 is still on hiatus; there is no new episode this week, but fans on Twitter might catch Stana Katic in a random Q&A session. Meanwhile, the new showrunners are saying Rick’s (Nathan Fillion) disappearance could be connected to Katic’s Beckett.

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Castle” Season 8 spoilers. Read on at your own risk.

Katic recently tweeted a Beckett-related post, delighting fans who have no choice but to wait until “Castle” Season 8 returns with fresh episodes on ABC. (See her tweet below.)

As to what happens next to Katic’s Beckett, new co-showrunner Alexi Hawley has said production is cooking up a story related to Rick’s disappearance on his original wedding date. In this re-exploration, Beckett could be part of the reason why Rick had to wipe his memory. Could it also be connected to LokSat?

“We haven’t nailed the story down for it,” Hawley told TV Line, adding there could be more to the memory alteration than what was seen in “Castle” Season 7. “(It) does have something to do with Beckett,” she said.

When will “Castle” Season 8 return?

The ABC dramedy procedural returns on Feb. 1 (Monday). Until then, fans could spend their waiting time forming speculations on what happens next to Castle and Beckett. Now that they have decided to team up against LokSat, would viewers finally find out Senator Bracken’s mystery accomplice?

While waiting for the next “Castle” Season 8 episode, fans may go to ABC Go to stream the latest episodes and connect the events to Hawley’s teasers.
