Bruno Fernandes Reveals His 'Biggest Regret' At Manchester United Regarding Sir Alex
Bruno Fernandes has revealed one of his "biggest regrets" at Manchester United regarding legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Fernandes, who moved from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United last year, has become an integral part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaerâs side in no time. Having played 56 competitive matches in the ongoing campaign, he has netted 28 goals and 17 assists. With 18 goals in the Premier League, he is currently the second-leading goal scorer in Englandâs top-flight league this season after joint-leaders Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah (22 goals).
On Sunday, in an interview comprising supporters' questions, Fernandes was asked if he has had the chance to speak to the iconic Sir Alex Ferguson during his time at the club so far.
"That is one of my biggest regrets in the club until now. I met him already but never had the chance to speak with him like I would like to do," answered Fernandes, according to Manchester Unitedâs official website.
Irrespective of how talented a player is, they are always looking to improve and Fernandes is no different.
"I think everyone who watched Manchester United in the past remembers Sir Alex. [That is true] for me, growing up and seeing the club, being a fan of the club and seeing the development of the team. I would like to have a conversation with him and understand, from his point of view, what he thinks about me and what I can improve or still improve in my game to be better," added Fernandes in the same interview.
In another interview, Fernandes revealed that he would like to have the pace of his Old Trafford teammate Marcus Rashford.

On being asked which quality he would like to take from one of his teammates, Fernandes replied, "I donât know honestly as we have so many qualities in the team. I think Iâm not the slowest player in the world but if I would have the pace of Rashy, honestly, I would be a Ballon dâOr [winner] already. With the pace he has, oh my God, heâs unbelievable."
In 55 games this season, Rashford has scored 21 goals for Manchester United, second-most for the Red Devils after Fernandes.
"Itâs incredible the way he is and, when I talk about pace, itâs about running with the ball and without the ball, and, at the same time, the pace in his feet. The quality he has, the moves he has, and the agility he has to come away from difficult situations. Itâs unbelievable," Fernandes said further about Rashford.
