Bye? Boris Johnson is under pressure to quit after a succession of scandals

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made it apparent Wednesday that he has no intention of stepping down.

Johnson was asked to step down over his handling of sexual misconduct allegations against a senior official during a session with the House of Commons, though Johnson ignored the demands.

“The job of a prime minister in difficult circumstances when you’ve been handed a colossal mandate is to keep going,” Johnson told the House of Commons.

“And that’s what I’m going to do. We are going to get on and deliver our mandate and win another general election," he said.

Johnson told a source that there would be “chaos” if he resigned and that he will not walk away from “hugely important issues facing the country,” according to Britain’s Press Association.

Two top ministers, several junior officials and other employees have insisted they could not work under him due to his scandal-plagued time in office. Johnson was also literally told to “Go! Go! Go!” by the opposition Labour Party on Wednesday but was not fazed by these remarks.

It was recommended that Johnson take a "dignified exit."
