The synopsis of “The Comic Book Store Regeneration” says that “Wolowitz receives some shocking news as everyone prepares for the reopening of Stuart's comic book store.” Also in the episode, Penny realises that she cannot follow what she preaches. She will teach Sheldon how to “let it go.” However, when she comes to know “something infuriating about Amy,” Penny cannot let it go. The synopsis also reveals that Fillion will be making an appearance in this episode. Raj and Leonard will spot him at a restaurant.
After the comic book store burned down in Season 7 finale, Stuart moved into Mrs Wolowitz’s house as her caretaker. The initial episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 saw Howard and Stuart going after each other, as the latter started acting like Howard’s father and refused to leave the house even after Mrs Wolowitz recovered from her injury. In one of the episodes, the group decided to pitch in to help Stuart re-open his comic book store. Stuart, however, informed that Mrs Wolowitz is giving him the money to re-open it, which infuriated Howard. The episode will see Howard mourning the death of his mother.
“Castle” actor Fillion will be appearing as himself in the show. Entertainment Weekly has reported that Leonard and Raj will spot him at a restaurant and they will debate whether it is really him or not. Fillion is making an appearance because of his character in “Firefly,” not “Castle.” It has been shown that Sheldon is a big fan of the show.
