A new extended look trailer of “Aquaman” movie has been released online. The video shows how the Trident of power is the key to rule Atlantis, and unite the water kingdom with the surface world. The new video shows the origin of the weapon.

There was a time when the oceans covered some parts of the Earth that have now turned into a desert. The new trailer [see below] shows Aquaman (Jason Momoa) venturing deep into the Sahara with Mera (Amber Heard). There he will find an ancient machine that contains a holographic message from someone who appears to be an ancient king of Atlantis.

The trident contains the power of Atlantis. The weapon appears to be lost in legend and myth. The holographic message will show Aquaman the resting place of the trident. The weapon is in a hidden sea, and may be surrounded by some dangerous creatures.

Aquaman will have to fight for the throne of Atlantis with his half-brother. The fight in the arena between the two princes is one of the highlights of the film. It remains to be seen whether that trident will come into play in this fight.

Orm (Patrick Wilson) wants to go to war against the surface world after becoming king. Aquaman on the other hand wants to ensure that there is no war.

One of the villains in the film is Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). The distinctive look of the character with big, red eyes is from the comics. The look has been explained as a deep ocean suit that David Kane wears to transform into this powerful villain.

“Aquaman” as been directed by James Wan. The film will be released on Dec. 13 in Australia. The cast members include Nicole Kidman (Queen Atlanta), Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus), and Djimon Hounsou (The Fisherman King).
