One of the topic that was briefly discussed at the recently concluded 2012 WWDC was the news about Apple TV and the features that it will contain.

Though Apple TV was mentioned during the 2012 WWDC, no specific new technology was mentioned during its announcement. Though that is the case, the rumors about the possible features of Apple TV are still circulating the web.

Here are some of these speculated rumors:

Motion Detection

There are rumors that the next Apple TV that will be launched in the market would have motion detection which is part of Apple's goal to improve interactivity with users. This would also be the main control system for Apple TV.

Touchscreen Remote

Aside from that, there are also rumors of a touchscreen remote which is similar to Apple's iPad. The only difference is the form wherein it will be made out of plastic bezel instead of the aluminum unibody in MacBook Air. Some news reports even describe it as a "unique remote control with a touch panel form factor."

There are also speculations which states that Apple TV would make cable companies obsolete. This is actually not true because although Apple TV is a good device, it does not have the capability to replace cable companies yet. As of the moment, Apple TV is a type of TV which is truly connected to the Internet which also have interesting apps like Siri.
