Being out of the spotlight since last year after her vocal chords surgery, the British singer is set to conquer the music scene again. Adele announced that she will make her long awaited comeback in this month's Grammy Awards.

The award winning singer confirmed and informed her fans on her Twitter account that she "can't wait" to perform at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles for the Grammys.

"Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx," Adele tweeted in anticipation.

In a recent press release the singer said that she is "immensely proud" to have been invited to perform at the prestigious Grammy Awards this year.

"It's an absolute honour to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-wracking, but what a way to get back into it all," the singer said in the press conference although its still unconfirmed which track she will perform for her comeback.

Last year, the 23-year-old was forced to cancel her concert tours in the US and England due to a benign polyp her doctors discovered on her vocal chords.

Apart from her performance, Adele also has six nominations at the Grammys including Record of the Year for her album "21" and Song of the Year for her single "Rolling in the Deep." A week later after her scheduled performance at the Grammy Awards she is also set to perform at the BRIT Awards.
