Nicky Kyrgios of Australia was down two sets to Andreas Seppi of Italy but came back to win the match, 5-7, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(5), 8-6 in a classic fourth round encounter in the 2015 Australian Open. Kyrgios advances to the quarter-final round of the first grand slam tournament of the year and keeps the home country’s hopes alive of having an Australian as champion.

Kyrgios faces the winner of the big match-up between Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Andy Murray of Great Britain while Seppi, who stole the Aussie Open headlines last Friday when he ousted world no. 2 and fan favourite Roger Federer in the third round, bows out of contention in the tournament in Melbourne, Australia.

“Yeah, it's crazy. I don't think it's sunk in yet. When I saw I had finally won the match it was incredible. It was the best feeling I ever had. To know the body could come back from two sets to love, knowing I haven't had matches, it's just massive confidence,” Kyrgios said in the post-match interview in the tournament’s official website when asked about the comeback victory.

Kyrgios, a 19-year-old from Canberra, lost two close sets to open the match as Seppi broke the Australian twice to gain the early edge. But Kyrgios started to play better winning the third set easily in just 25 minutes, the shortest in all five sets played in the match. Both players took it to tiebreakers in the last two but Kyrgios showed more poise over his 30-year-old opponent.

Meanwhile, world no. 1 and Aussie Open top seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia faces Gilles Muller of Luxembourg, Feliciano Lopez of Spain takes on Milos Raonic of Canada, defending champion Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland meets Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain and David Ferrer of Spain fights Kei Nishikori of Japan to decided the other four players who will make the quarter-finals of the 2015 Australian Open.
