“Wentworth” season 4 has seen Joan Ferguson, also known as “The Freak” (Pamela Rabe) stabbing Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) several times. While show producer Jo Porter has already confirmed that Smith is really dead, it will be interesting to see what happens next to Ferguson. Rabe has previously hinted that she might also end up dead.

In an interview with Female First, Rabe said her character knows that there is always a huge risk and that she might die any time. But she also believes that “The Freak” is skilled and clever.

“The Freak” has been forecasted to get a dose of her own medicine in “Wentworth” season 4. Since she has killed Smith, it is likely that people who love her will seek revenge for her death.

Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) might just be the one to end the life of Ferguson to get even. Novak’s lesbian lover has gained consciousness in the final episode of “Wentworth” season 4. It is likely that she will put justice in her own hands once she finds out that Ferguson has killed the love of her life.

If it is not Novak who gets the chance to kill Ferguson, it may also be Jodie Spiteri (Pia Miranda) who will end her life. Spiteri’s utmost hatred towards Rabe’s character may lead to her death. Fans can recall that Ferguson has controlled Spiteri to do self-harm in “Wentworth” season 3.

Meanwhile, when Rabe was asked if she would be willing to direct an episode in “Wentworth” season 4, she said it is something she have not thought about. But she shared that she has always been interested in all sides of the projects she was part of. “I do watch in awe of all the skill that goes into bringing a show like this to life,” she told Female First.

Rabe is considered as one of Australia’s most recognised actresses. Some of her awards include Best Actress in the Stockholm International Film Festival for her 1997 performance in “The Well.”

In 2015, she won a Helpmann Award as Best Female Actor in a Play for “The Glass Menagerie.” She has also been recognised as Best Lead Actress in a Television Drama for “Wentworth” at the 2015 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA).

The first season of the crime drama TV series originally aired on SoHo in Australia. Official air date for “Wentworth” season 5 is yet to be announced.
