It was widely speculated that “Wentworth” would be cancelled after the confirmed death of its lead character. But fans can keep their cool in knowing that the series will continue despite the demise of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack). Cormack seems confident that the remaining cast members will be able to continue with the show as she had previously said that all of them are good at what they do.

“They know what they're doing,” the actress said of her co-stars in “Wentworth.” Cormack has specifically praised Kate Jenkinson for her portrayal of Allie Novak, her character’s lesbian lover.

Cormack said she thinks Jenkinson is wonderful, an incredibly bright, very intuitive actor and a wonderful human being. As early as the audition process, the actress said she thought Jenkinson will be fit for the role.

For Cormack, Jenkinson is very easy to work with. “We were able to really flesh out the storyline of Bea and Allie together with the writers as well, once we'd founded their connection,” she explained. Cormack has really enjoyed the chance to work with Jenkinson.

Cormack, who has been the lead star in “Wentworth” for the past four seasons, also shared that she has enjoyed working with Tammy Macintosh (Kaz Proctor). The former described her co-actress as an incredibly dynamic actress. “She's so frightening and then incredibly fragile,” she told Female First.

It is likely that most of the “Wentworth” season 4 cast will be back for season 5 as the actress has previously shared that the cast has a great relationship on the set. As for Cormack, her character may be dead in the series, but it does not necessarily mean that the actress will no longer appear in “Wentworth” season 5.

There are reports that Cormack will be back in “Wentworth” season 5 through a series of flashbacks. The Reddit community is filled with theories about Cormack’s ultimate fate in the show. A Reddit user mentioned a possibility that “Wentworth” season 5 might go backwards instead of forward. If this will be the case, Bea will still play a pivotal role.

Her appearance in the upcoming season, however, has not been confirmed by executive producer Jo Porter or by any representative of the show. Even Cormack and her camp are mum about her involvement in “Wentworth” season 5. The series aired on SoHo in Australia. Official air date for “Wentworth” season 5 is yet to be announced.
