Still wondering why Adam Levine wasn’t invited? Or why his band not nominated in any award at MTV’s 2011 VMAs? Well, hear the reasons.

With Twitter rants dropping F-bombs on MTV’s 2011 VMAs, the Maroon 5 frontman has continued to bash this year’s music awards.

“It’s public knowledge that it’s not a music channel,” he asserted as he begun his attacks on MTV’s awards shows.

If it’s not a music channel, what is it then? Levine, again had the answer.

“It’s become a huge promotional opportunity for artists, which is a good thing. I think that great artists were there and they were represented and there could have been more,” the singer told E!Online.

“I remember when I was a kid I worshiped the VMAs,” he said, according to OK!Magazine. “I’d see these incredible moments where the whole world sat still to watch the VMAs and year round they’d play music — Nirvana, Pearl Jam, bands I loved. ”

Apparently the 12.4 million viewers who tuned in for this year’s awards would iffer with Levine.

What is it then? Was he bitter that he was not nominated? Not even invited?

“I don’t even know if we were invited,” Levine told E!. “I know we weren’t invited to perform. People thought it’s because we weren’t nominated, that has nothing to do with it. We haven’t been nominated in years and that’s fine.”
