A teaser of the movie “San Andreas” published by YouTube user Ownage Pranks went viral just hours after it was released on May 18. More than 2,300 comments have poured in since the video was uploaded. The viral video has drawn more than 235,000 hits with 9,392 likes and 3,369 dislikes.

In the video description, the YouTube account thanked Warner Bros. Pictures for sponsoring the video and for giving rights to publish the exclusive trailer. This YouTube account has more than 240 prank videos with a new prank being updated every Sunday. It has more than 304,000 subscribers.

Some YouTube users argued over Pranks initial comments about this viral video sponsored by Warner Bros. Its loyalists appreciated the trailer while a few others condemned the YouTube account calling it “greedy.”

YouTube viewers’ @peao010109, @Eton and many others have lauded the special effects in the film. A few YouTube users have compared “San Andreas” to “2012” and “The Day After Tomorrow,” both action-disaster films that were released previously.

“For the scientific part, San Andreas is a really well known thing, and already caused major earthquakes. It's inevitable that it will happen sometime sooner or later” wrote YouTube user @srbin825.

“San Andreas” is an adventure-action film written by Allan Loeb, Carlton Cuse, Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes based on the original script by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore. It was directed by Brad Peyton. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Paul Giamatti and Alexandra Daddario in lead roles.

Dwayne Johnson portrays the role of a helicopter pilot who sets off to find his daughter in California after a powerful earthquake rattles the Pacific Coast. A major part of the film was shot in Queensland, which provided the California setting in the film. Enthusiastic Dwayne Johnson fans worldwide are eager to watch the movie in 2D and 3D when it is released in theatres on May 29. “San Andreas” will be released in theatres across Australia on May 28.
