"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 will be bringing in new faces to fill in new storylines and more exciting scenes in the CW TV series. The Deadline report claims actor Michael Malarkey will be returning for a major recurring character named Enzo, a charming but tortured figure in vampire Damon Salvatore's (Ian Somerhalder) past.

Enzo is set to arrive at Mystic Falls to desperately reconnect with an old friend. Mr Malarkey's first episode appearance is scheduled to air on December 5, however, details on what Enzo's exact storyline this new season is still unknown including the number of episodes that actor Michael Malarkey will appear in.

Aside from Enzo, another character that the TVD fans look forward to in Season 5 is Nadia portrayed by actress Olga Fonda. In the new season premiere episode, the Eastern European beauty showed up before Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) in Mystic Falls to return his ring then conduct a mysterious spell on him.

It is still unclear what Nadia plans to do in Season 5 but Michael Ausiello of TVLine revealed that the European beauty has a very surprising connection to a character in the TV series. Speculations run on Katherine Pierce since she is from Eastern Europe or the Salvatore brothers, Damon and Stefan, who were able to make a lot of friends and enemies in the past hundred years of their existence.

In the mean time, fans are teased with the brief synopsis revealed for the second episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 titled "True Lies." The synopsis on the Dreadcentral report reads: "MISSING PERSONS - Without telling Elena (Nina Dobrev) that Stefan (Paul Wesley) is missing, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) turns to Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) for help finding his brother.
