Tom Holland’s time at the gym seemed to have paid off, as seen from his recent Instagram photo. The young actor has been putting on some weight and muscles for his role as the superhero “Spider-Man.”

Holland has shared an Instagram snap where his bulked-up shoulders are on display. The photo shows that Holland has gained some muscle mass. He captioned the shot with, “Photo shoot for @another_man. Thanks guys!!”

Holland's photo has since received over 6,000 likes, and fans commented that they can already picture him as Peter Parker with his developed physique. One user named eden061000 wrote, “I can't wait for Captain America: Civil War! You'll be a great Peter Parker.” Another fan named theperksofbeingrodYeah commented, “I see Peter Parker right there,” while user robymanon said Holland is giving the camera his “Ultimate Spiderman look.”

The 19-year-old is set to make a cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” along with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. It’s reported Holland will mostly have some scenes with Downey’s Iron Man in the film.

The Hollywood Reporter seemed certain that the new Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man will share scenes with Downey. Holland was reportedly the only contender at that time to do a screen test with the Hollywood star so producers can check on their on-screen chemistry.

Holland has since received full support from fans as the new Spider-Man. Even Andrew Garfield has no doubt that he can pull off the character well, considering his acting skills and physical capability.

Garfield had called Holland a “really really great actor” during an August interview with Entertainment Online at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Annual Grants Banquet. Garfield cited Tom’s role in the drama “The Impossible,” where he thought Holland showed really great acting skills.

“He was just this incredibly powerful, sensitive, just wonderful young actor,” Garfield said

Garfield also said that Holland has the physical strength to portray Spider-Man because he is a dancer. As a dancer, Holland’s body reportedly has the “right form” for the character.
