Tom Holland is making sure not to disappoint fans with his portrayal of Spider-Man. The actor is getting prepped up for his titular role in the “Spider-Man” reboot.

Apparently, the new Peter Parker star is getting even more fit for his role as the new web crawler in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Tom Holland shared a photo on his Instagram page showing him getting ready for the gym. He captioned the image “New glasses and it's time for the gym!!!” The photo has since received over seven thousand likes.

Tom Holland has also been busy practicing on his back flips. The 19-year old has been taking to social media to show his skill, which could come handy with his portrayal of Spider-Man.

A couple weeks back, the actor shared a trio of videos captured in slow-motion that highlight his flipping skills. In the first clip Holland is seen doing a forward flip. He captioned the video, “Fun fun fun” and it has since received over five thousand likes.

The second video shows the new Spider-Man star perfecting his side flip. Tom Holland captioned the clip “More fun more fun.” The young actor showcased his back flip skill in the last video which has received over six thousand likes.

Tom Holland is expected to have a cameo appearance as the new Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-man in “Captain America: Civil War.” According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actor will definitely share some scenes with two of the main characters in the sequel. Holland reportedly did some screen tests with Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) and with Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America).

It’s uncertain whether Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will have a major role in “Captain America: Civil War.” Variety said the actor will only be filming his Peter Parker scenes for about a week.

Tom Holland came out on top of other Spider-Man hopefuls because of the result of his screen tests. Marvel and Sony were apparently impressed with how he had portrayed Peter Parker during the role auditions. “For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom’s screen tests were special,” Tom Rothman, Chairman of Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group, said.
