The long rumoured Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones were unveiled at the beginning of this week. Now, the South Korean tech giant is speculated to be working on Samsung Galaxy Note 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 that will come out to replace the Galaxy Note 5 will be arriving with interesting new features. Here are some of the expected features of the Galaxy Note 6:

Bigger display with support for 3D Touch

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 came with 5.7-inch screen, but its successor is rumoured to house a 5.8-inch AMOLED screen with RGX matrix technology. Samsung will be also incorporating a 3D Touch like functionality that is available on the iPhone 6S for the Galaxy S7. The screen will support Quad HD resolution, Mobi Picker reported.

6 GB of RAM

Speculations are indicating that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be arriving with 6 GB of RAM. It will be available on the two processor variants of Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890.

Storage

The Note 6 is speculated to come in storage editions of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Samsung has recently introduced the 256GB UFS 2.0 memory that offers a transfer speed of 850 MB/s and 260 MB/s for reading and writing data, respectively.

MicroSD Support

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 did not feature a microSD mainly because of the new design it adopted. However, since the Galaxy S7 has arrived with microSD card support through a hybrid SIM slot, the Galaxy Note 6 is also expected to feature it.

Stellar Camera

A 12 MP camera with a 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization system called Super OIS is rumoured to arrive on the Note 6. It will be able to shoot high resolution videos and pictures in low light conditions.

Powerful Battery

The Note 5 arrived with 3000 mAh battery, but its successor is expected to house a larger battery. Rumours suggest that it may house a 3500 – 4000 mAh battery.

Laptop dock

In December 2015, tech sites reported that the Galaxy Note 6 will be arriving with a laptop dock. Users will be able to slot the Note 6 inside the laptop dock that will be powered by the processor, RAM and storage of the phablet, Ubergizmo reported. The notebook will be running on Windows 10 OS

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date is still under the wraps, but speculations indicate that it will be announced with the Galaxy S7 Edge+ in August. Its rival, the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to release in September. The purported high-end specs of the Note 6 may certainly trump the Apple’s upcoming phablet.
