In the previous week, Samsung announced the worldwide release of Android Marshmallow upgrade for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones. It has now started releasing the Android 6.0.1 upgrade for the S6 and S6 Edge smartphones. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA update is also available for Galaxy Note 5 users in Cambodia.

Earlier this month, Samsung released Android 6.0.1 upgrade for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users in South Korea. Now, Android 6.0.1 firmware upgrade is also available for the Cambodian edition of Galaxy Note 5 that has a model number of SM-N920C.

The latest Android upgrade with build number N920CXXU2BPB6 can be installed using the Samsung Smart Switch PC suite. Alternatively, the upgrade can be installed manually by downloading the firmware from this link. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will gradually arrive for worldwide users of Galaxy Note 5.

In January, Samsung started Android 6.0 beta program to test the latest Android build on Galaxy Note 5 for AT&T. Once the beta program ends, the upgrade will be launched for Galaxy Note 5 across the world. Samsung had followed the same pattern for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users.

According to Sam Mobile, the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) and Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F) that are available in UK are currently receiving the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade through Vodafone. The build number of the update is XXU3DPB8. The update is expected to be available through other carriers in UK very soon.

The unlocked editions of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners are receiving Android 6.0.1 update in the US. The carrier variants of the S6 and S6 Edge are likely to receive the update by the end of this month or in March.

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update brings new features like Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap and more than 200 emojis. The OS is overlaid with TouchWiz UI along with new and improved Samsung apps like Samsung Internet 4.0 browser and Cross App.
