Unafraid that she will be the next board of the CBS ‘firing’ darts, Charlie Sheen’s “Men” co-star, Holland Taylor was the first to come out in defense of the newly sacked front man of the US hit TV series. Holland has come to sit, eat and laugh with Charlie on the sitcom’s set in every production shoot since "Two and a Half Men" made the airwaves in 2003.

"Charlie was cordial and polite with all of his cast mates and crew, sometimes even courtly — and always witty," Taylor was quoted saying in her statement sent by e-mail to the Associated Press.

The actress then described the beleaguered actor on how he was during off-set get together - - a picture which to some may be quite, if not totally different from what the world has seen of the actor in the last couple of weeks.

Taylor said, "We watched movies at his house occasionally — warm evenings with interesting, spirited conversation. This is the guy I know.”

Refusing to hide her feelings for the actor and her thoughts on the latest decision made by CBS, Taylor said that she would always keep this image of Charlie in her heart and mind.

“In this very sad and complicated time, I really have no comment,” Charlie’s co-star said, “beyond valuing my own history with Charlie, and my abiding affection for him.”

Holland plays Evelyn Harper on “Two and a Half Men”.
