After a shocking bombshell to start the year, “Neighbours” returns with another explosive episode. On Tuesday, Sonya Rebecchi’s (Eve Morey) world is rocked to its core when she finds out what Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) has been hiding from her. This certainly doesn’t help their current situation, which has already been made complicated with Sonya’s pregnancy.

Speaking of complications, Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns) and Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel) fail to fully celebrate their rekindled romance as they are beset with the same issues. Other “Neighbours” characters include Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Ned (Ben Hall), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard) and Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Tuesday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Piper insists that she and Tyler love each other. Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin) argues that she’s too young to know the meaning of love. Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) says that they just want her to graduate first before getting into anything serious. Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall) tries to be the peacekeeper, suggesting that they could keep a close eye on Piper’s grades for the rest of the year. Terese snaps at her, but Lauren insists she’s just trying to be constructive. Amid the argument, Tyler keeps silent, not knowing what to say.

Digital Spy reports that the scene happens during a dinner arranged by Piper, who hopes to convince her parents to approve her relationship with Tyler. Sonya also plans a dinner get-together with Toadie, Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner) and Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) to talk about the baby. However, Sonya is shocked when she finds a photo of Dione “Dee” Bliss (Madeleine West).

Spoilers also suggest that Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) is overcome with guilt after her tryst with Paige (Olympia Valance), the other night. He desperately wants to have another shot with Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) accidentally makes a way to bring the two together.

“Neighbours” recap

On Monday, Sonya revealed to Toadie that she’s pregnant, leaving him utterly shocked. The couple discussed about other people’s reactions, especially Steph, considering her feelings about the surrogacy. The next day, the Rebecchis invited Steph and Mark over to talk about it. Steph and Mark were the first ones to make a surprising announcement: they are engaged.

Their happy bubble was burst, however, when Sonya dropped the pregnancy bombshell. Steph turned emotional, saying that she didn’t expect it to happen. Later, Mark reassured Steph that things would be okay. He also gave Steph an engagement ring, which helped convince Steph. The two went over to the Rebecchis and Steph apologised for freaking out earlier. She told Sonya and Toadie that she’s perfectly fine with the situation.

Things weren’t so good, however, with Toadie, who continued to be plagued with his ex-wife. He flashed back to her wedding with Dee and the car accident which killed his wife, or so he thought. He tried telling Sonya about it, but he kept getting interrupted. Later, he hired someone to investigate the disappearance of Dee.

Piper and Tyler was finding it difficult to sneak around to be together. They decided to go to the Cannings to spend some intimate time together. At the Cannings, the two snuggled as they watched a horror movie then made out. They panicked, however, when Terese suddenly showed up, doing some errands for the Cannings. The couple was forced to admit that they got back together, and an argument ensued between Piper and her mum. Terese laid down her rule: as long as Piper lives with her, the relationship cannot continue.

Piper tried to get Brad on her side, but he shared Terese’s opinion. Elsewhere, Tyler told Mark about him and Piper. Tyler asked his brother’s permission for Piper to move in their home, but Mark didn’t think it was a good idea.

Paige confirmed with David that she’s pregnant, but she’s determined not to tell Jack about it. David told her that she had an option not to keep the baby, and she replied that she wanted to think about it first. Later, Mark told Paige about Sonya’s pregnancy, making her emotional about her own growing baby inside her tummy. Later, Paige went to the Tanaka’s place and when David left for work, Leo flirted with her. It seemed like things were about to get hot and heavy between the two.
