However, Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) gets in trouble for breaking the police’s orders, and he’s at risk of facing jail time again.

Meanwhile, sisters Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel) and Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) face their own battles against Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) and Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), respectively. “Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Monday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Susan checks in on Xanthe, knowing that it might be hard for her now that Cooper's back in school. When Gary expresses his protest over the decision, Susan admits that she wasn't there when Cooper was signed in class. Gary lashes at Susan for allowing it to happen, saying that his daughter's safety is at risk. However, Susan insists Cooper hasn't been charged and tries to placate him by promising to keep a close eye on his daughter. Xanthe, meanwhile, breaks down. "Everytime I see him, I remember what he did and how it felt," she cries. "He's getting away with everything." Gary feels helpless and hugs his distraught daughter.

Digital Spy reports that a new development on the case makes Gary a suspect again. Mark also gave him a personal safety intervention, meaning that he cannot go near or have any form of communication with Cooper. Unfortunately, an incident compels Gary to go near the young man and threaten him to stay away from Xanthe. Mark witnesses the whole thing and is left with no choice but to arrest Gary.

Meanwhile, Terese manages to get Ryan’s copy of the footage. Knowing that Cooper’s attack on Xanthe was included, she decides to turn it over to the police. Tim tells her to delete the rest and just give that particular clip to the authorities anonymously.

Digital Spy spoilers also suggest that Piper and Elly are set for another feud, this time about the teacher’s unfair grading system. Elsewhere, Paige gets her hopes up again that she and Jack might have a chance after all, but gets disheartened once more when she finds out why the priest is keeping her close.

“Neighbours” recap

Last Friday, Madison and Amy were discussing Xanthe’s assault case when Madison raised the possibility that what happened was caught in one of the hidden cameras planted at Lassiters. Madison got excited – perhaps it was Xanthe’s chance to back her story. However, Amy said that she and Terese destroyed all the footage taken from the hidden cameras.

Amy contacted Ryan Prescott, believing that he has a copy of the footages. Ryan admitted that he was the one who planted the cameras to get revenge against Terese after firing him. He also admitted that he still had a copy of the USB. Amy searched his vehicle, where he has been living for after losing his Lassiters contract. She didn’t find it, unfortunately, and Ryan said he kept in a hard drive that Amy won’t ever see.

Later, Amy opened up to Aaron about her encounter with Ryan. Aaron told Amy that she could seduce Aaron to get what she wants. She heeded his advice and reached out to Ryan again. Amy made it appear that she wanted to get ahold of the footage because she wanted to sabotage Terese herself. Ryan seemed to be pleased that she learned something from his devious ways, and offered to connive with her. The two reached an agreement: she’ll use her friendship with Terese to find out when’s the best time to publicise the footage, and in return she’ll get 15 per cent. When Ryan got up to buy some food, Amy took his car keys and rummaged his car once again to find the copy of the videos. She was able to get it, but Ryan suddenly appeared and took the hard drive back. It seemed Amy blew her chances of ever helping Xanthe and Terese.

After finding a lock of blonde hair inside Ned’s wallet, Elly started treating him coldly. She said she wanted to have coffee at Harold’s. Unknown to Ned, she took the lock of hair and compared it with Lauren’s. Elly seemed convinced that it’s a match. Completely flustered, Elly walked out the café, leaving Ned confused. Later, Ned went over to the school to clear the air with Elly. She refused to give a reason why she’s been acting weird, and just said they should just cool it before it gets any deeper.

Thinking that Lauren said something to Elly that made the later upset, Ned confronted her soon-to-be stepmother. Lauren insisted she didn’t say anything to offensive, but admitted that Elly was acting odd. Meanwhile, Elly shared what she found with Brad. She said she didn’t want to be with a guy who’s still hung up with his future step mum. Brad didn’t waste time and told Lauren about Elly’s discovery. Lauren doubted that the lock of hair was hers – she just couldn’t picture how Ned would get it without her knowledge. Brad suggested that perhaps his son took it while she was sleeping, which creeped out Lauren.

At that precise moment, Ned walked in and the two confronted him about the “piece of souvenir.” Ned denied it was Lauren’s, and said it belonged to a woman he’s been seeing after he left Erinsborough. However, when pressed for details, Ned seemed to avoid the topic. He said he’s already forgotten about that lock of hair. To prove that he didn’t have any weird attachment to the object in question, he threw it in the garbage bin. Ned then returned to school to talk to Elly about the hair. He pitched the same story to Elly, once again denying that it was Lauren’s. He also assured her that the hair’s gone for good. Elly softened and they shared a kiss.

Meanwhile, Aaron continued to heap praises on to Madison after her breakout performance at The Waterhole. Terese also wanted her to do more gigs after winning over the audience. However, Madison refused. Later, she bumped with her uncle Paul, who has heard that she declined signing at The Waterhole. Madison admitted that she’s terrified of failing again. Paul encouraged her to pursue a career in singing, which she seemed to be passionate about.
