Starting today i.e. Jan. 14, 2015, the Microsoft Lumia 535 can be purchased in the UK. This entry-level Windows Phone 8.1 OS powered handset can be availed in black hue from Amazon UK for a price of 95.47 pounds. Notably, the phone comes SIM-free (unlocked). Also it is worth mentioning that, this handset comes packed with Microsoft's digital personal assistant Cortana.

When it comes to key specifications, the Microsoft Lumia 535 features a pocket-friendly 5.0-inch IPS LCD display, complemented by 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution. This translates to a pixel density of an inferior 220 ppi. Under the hood, the handset is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200) Cortex-A7 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz and backed by a modest 1 GB of RAM, says Phone Arena.

Moving on to the memory configurations, the phone comes equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. Speaking of camera specification, the primary and the secondary camera units are fitted with a 5 MP sensor each, along with LED flash support at the rear. Furthermore, the whole configuration of the Lumia 535 is held together and powered by a 1,905 mAh battery unit. This battery unit can provide up to 13 hours of 3G talk time and 552 hours of stand-by time.

Apart from the standard connectivity options like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the handset also supports 4G LTE. Another key feature includes the much-required Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Like other Lumia devices, the Lumia 535 also comes packed with Skype, Office and 15 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage support. In case buyers would like to opt for an entry-level phone that has the capability to make high-quality video calls, the Lumia 535 is the device to purchase as it can use Skype video call option. The wide-angle lens helps in getting the best out of the video calls, says Amazon.

On the other hand, in December, the Lumia 535 users encountered sensitivity problems pertaining to the touchscreen. However, now, the issue has been resolved by a software update from Microsoft. Potential buyers based out of the UK should head to Amazon UK to purchase the Microsoft Lumia 535. Also, Amazon is offering free shipping service upon purchasing the device.
