At CES 2015, the successor of LG G Flex, the LG G Flex 2, was launched. After introducing the device, LG did not reveal the price of the handset at the event. But now, it is official that the LG G Flex 2 will be priced at 599 euro in European markets, which roughly translates to $600. It is worth noting that, the curved body clad G Flex 2 comes with a reduction in display size when compared to its predecessor. The reduction in screen size is mainly because of the feedback from customers on the huge, unmanageable size of the predecessor. And therefore, the latest device features a 5.5-inch display.

In addition to the user-friendly display and the curved form factor, the screen resolution of the handset has been improved from HD to 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. In hindsight, LG first introduced the flexible body and "self-healing" concepts via its G Flex series of devices. Interestingly, the predecessor LG G Flex comes with a humongous 6.0-inch OLED display made of plastic, instead of the usual glass substrate. This way, the company proved that, a handset need not necessarily be ultra-rigid to prevent damage from accidental drops, points out GSM Arena. Taking all the goodness the Flex series has stood for, the LG G Flex 2 is a worthy successor to the G Flex.

LG says the G Flex 2 is equivalent to the curved 4K TVs seen at the CES event. The company also vouches that, the design of the smartphone "naturally matches the contour of your eyes." In addition, the stand out feature is the second-generation self-healing back panel. By scratching the smooth rear of the device, the scratches disappear within "10 seconds," whereas in the case of the predecessor, it takes about "10 minutes" to get back to the original shape, according to Tech Radar. Like many other LG devices, the back of the handset is home to buttons, unlike smartphones from other OEMs.

Other key LG G Flex 2 features include a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android v5.0.1 (Lollipop), 3/2 GB RAM choices, 13 MP rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash and OIS support, along with a 2.1 MP selfie snapper. Furthermore, a choice of 16 GB and 32 GB of storage space and 3,000 mAh battery unit complete the device.
