To strengthen its footing in the international consumer market, LG has announced the global roll out of its latest Android powered budget phones, the K10 and K4. Starting this week, the smartphones will be made available globally in key markets including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Europe. The next stage of the roll out will release the handsets in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

“Affordable mass-tier phones with advanced features are becoming more and more important,” said Juno Cho, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company in a press release.

LG claims that the K Series touts a premium look and feel, and offers advanced camera features at an affordable price. Both the handsets are aimed at a younger audience. LG claims that the K Series of the smartphones feature “the most advanced camera on a smartphone in this category.”

“Our newest K Series is designed for our consumers to experience LG’s premium design philosophy and optimized mobile experience across disparate smartphone categories,” added Juno Cho.

Sporting the stylish ‘glossy pebble’ design, the LG K10 comes with a 2.5D Arc Glass for a smooth and seamless look. The device features a 5.3-inch HD display, 13-megapixel rear cemra and an 8-mgapixel camera for selfies. The LG K10 comes packed with a 2,300mAh battery.

On the other hand, featuring a 4.5-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of in-built storage and LTE connectivity, the LG K4 sports a sleek design with commendable camera specs. Available in Indigo and White, the device houses a 1,940mAh battery.

LG unveiled its K Series on handsets at the CES 2016. From Jan. 14, the LG K10 went on sale in South Korea. The entry-level K10 is available for purchase in the domestic market at KRW 200,000 (AU$237 or US$165). Tech Times spotted the K4 smartphone listed on the company's Russian website .
