Kristen Stewart’s $500K Rendezvous With A Prince [PHOTOS/VIDEOS]

As there is an old saying that time is money, Twilight star, Kristen Stewart literally proved the proverb by accepted a proposal by a Saudi prince to donate $500,000 to charity in exchange for spending 15 minutes in his company.

The half a million dollars rendezvous was organised and negotiated by movie magnate Harvey Weinsten who was approached by the Middle Eastern prince about the chance of a "meet and greet" with his favourite star, Stewart.

According to The New York Times, Weinstein convinced Kristen Stewart to sell some of her treasured time for a noble cause and Stewart agreed to meet an unnamed prince for 15 minutes in New York for the hefty price .

At the Toronto Film Festival Weinstein told reporters that Stewart's first response to the request was: "How much?"

After American entertainment commentators, calculated the hefty sum paid by the Middle Eastern prince to 15 minutes time of Kirsten Stewart , it came out to be over $US33,333 per minute.

Stewart did not keep the cash herself instead the funds were donated for charity - negotiated as part of a deal for the Hurricane Sandy relief. Stewart and the Prince meeting reportedly took place in Madison Square Garden in New York, in December last year. Middle Eastern prince paid in cash.

After TIFF screening of the Hurricane Sandy benefit concert film 12.12.12 on Sept. 8, Weinstein's company he addressed the audience at the Winter Garden theatre with the anecdote.

According to Weinstein an unnamed Middle Eastern prince was keen on getting the chance to meet with Stewart, said he would make a large contribution to the Sandy relief effort if his wish was granted. Weinstein then contacted and convinced Stewart to sit with the prince for 15 minutes after the prince committed to Weinstein's proposed a $500K donation.

Weinstein said, "Kristen sits with the guy for 15 minutes."

The Weinstein Company at first started with five films at TIFF, but has added a few more later , totalling to eight, according to artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com
