Gina Rodriguez is Jane in The CW's 'Jane the Virgin'

Next week, “Jane The Virgin” returns with Chapter 24, the second episode of Season 2. Now that baby Mateo has been returned, Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) tackles the challenges of motherhood. Meanwhile, she also needs to deal with both Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) and Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), who are competing for her attention. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]

In the episode trailer shared by The CW, Jane is seen dealing with two versions of herself. One is the simple, maternal and responsible version, while the other is the feisty, adventurous version. [scroll down for video]

She needs to find a balance between her life as a young single mother and a young adult who is just finding her own identity. At the same time, she also needs to figure out what to do with the men in her life. As she adjusts to her life as a new mom, she also needs to decide between her baby daddy, Rafael , and her ex-fiance, Michael.

Also seen in the trailer, singer Kesha appears as a guest star. As previously reported, Kesha joins the cast as Jane’s new neighbour. She isn’t too fond of babies, and she is bound to clash with Jane and her noisy baby Mateo from next door.

TV Guide shares the episode synopsis, which states that Xiomara (Andrea Naveda) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) will be forced to perform together on a cruise ship. the pair is forced to fulfill the contractual obligation, while they figure out what to do about their marital status.

Elsewhere, Rafael and his ex-wife Petra (Yael Grobglas) still have a hotel to run. They have been struggling to keep the Marbella afloat, despite numerous scandals and issues. Despite being divorced, they are forced to work together against Lachlan, who is on a mission to take over the business.

“Jane The Virgin” Chapter 24 airs on Monday, at 9:00 pm ET on The CW. The series returns in Australia in November on Fox 8.
