Season 2 of the hit CW comedy series, “Jane the Virgin,” is loading up with pop star guests. Shortly after the announcement that pop princess Britney Spears has joined the cast, it has also now been confirmed that pop-rock singer Kesha will be making a guest appearance.

Spoiler Alert: This update contains "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 spoilers.

According to TV Fanatic, “Jane the Virgin” showrunner and executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman has confirmed Kesha’s involvement in Season 2. "We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on Jane! We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the Jane the Virgin family," she said.

The report states that the singer will be playing the role of Annabelle, a musician who will be moving in next door to Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez). She is described to be a “rocker” who is not a “baby person.” As fans of the show are aware, Jane just gave birth to her son Matteo. Living next door to each other could possibly cause a conflict between Jane and Annabelle.

Although Matteo has been kidnapped in the Season 1 finale, Urman has assured that he will be returned fairly quickly. Annabelle is reportedly appearing in Episode 2, and this could indicate that Matteo will be returned as early as the first two episodes.

While Kesha’s character will be involved with Jane, Britney Spears is joining the show as Rogelio de la Vega’s (Jamie Camil) nemesis. Rogelio, Jane's father, is a popular soap opera star who has an inflated ego. With another talented performer in the picture, he will surely feel threatened. Catch both Kesha and Britney Spears, when “Jane the Virgin” returns for the Season 2 premiere on Monday, October 12, at 9:00 pm EDT on The CW.
