Britney Spears’ ‘Jane the Virgin’ season 2 appearance will be epic, Gina Rodriguez says
“Jane the Virgin” season 2 is set to premiere on Oct. 12 on The CW and its lead star Gina Rodriguez has nothing but good words about the guest appearance of Britney Spears on the show. The “Womanizer” singer is set to play herself in the series created by Jennie Snyder Urman.
Rodriguez was one of the presenters during the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 20, Sunday. Wearing a floral embroidery Lorena Sarbu ball gown on the red carpet, she told Entertainment Tonight how excited she was about getting to work with Spears.
According to Rodriguez, Spears is awesome and very loving and she is very supportive of “Jane the Virgin.” She said that working with Iggy Azalea’s “Pretty Girls” collaborator is going to be epic for her and she cannot say anything more than she is playing herself.
Spears has yet to shoot with the “Jane the Virgin” season 2 cast. On the other hand, Rodriguez said she is confident that the pop star will be fabulous and she thinks she is going to everything she is dreaming of.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez reportedly broke up with Henri Esteve, her boyfriend of one year. She has yet to confirm the breakup reports but she was seen solo during the 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards, where she paired beaded, pink Lorena Sarbu dress with Forevermark jewels and hairstyle by Joico's celebrity hair stylist Paul Norton.
It is said that Rodriguez really cared for Esteve but her limited time amid her prosperous career led to their mutual decision to break up, a source told People. The source also said the two are both very realistic about relationships and they remain friends after the breakup .
Aside from “Jane the Virgin” season 2, Rodriguez is also currently filming “Deepwater Horizon.” She is also set to star in “This Shining City,” “Sharon 1.2.3.,” “Asher” and “Sticky Notes.”
