“Home and Away” alum Jodi Gordon and retired NRL star Braith Anasta are going their separate ways. The split has been confirmed by the pair’s manager Sean Anderson.

"It's with regret that I confirm that Jodi and Braith have separated.”

The split came days after the couple were caught having a heated argument in a public park, Daily Mail reports. Last month, at an event in Sydney, Jodi said that she was looking forward to spending time with her relatives.

The split is foreshadowed by the fact that Jodi has dropped her soon-to-be ex-husband’s last name on her Instagram account and is now using her maiden name.

Jodi and Braith share a 22-month old daughter together. The pair asked for privacy during a press statement and declared that they will continue supporting each other as best friends and will do their best for their daughter, Aleeia.

The spokesman for the couple said that the two encountered challenges like all married couples and that despite their best efforts, the pair agreed to a trial separation for both their sakes and for their child. The pair were reportedly arguing on whether to expand their family or not. Braith is allegedly ready for more children while Jodi wants to focus in advancing her career, Woman’s Day reports.

Jodi has moved out of the couple’s home. Meanwhile, Braith recently moved in to a two-bedroom apartment, according to Daily Telegraph. In September, the couple were spotted searching for a new house to move out of their rented flat in Randwick. Earlier this year, the couple even went to Bali for a family holiday.

In 2012, the pair tied the knot three years after being set-up on a blind date by one of Braith’s former team mates. In 2014, the couple gave birth to a daughter. Months after that, Braith decided to retire.
