Henry Cavill said he will not make an appearance in “ Suicide Squad.” In his recent interview with Metro.co.uk, the actor was asked about the rumored appearance of his character Superman in the film to which he said, “No.” However, the actor did not deny the possibility of appearing in the potential “Suicide Squad” sequel.

“I might be,” he said. Though it is not sure if the actor will make an appearance in the sequel but according to Comicbook the actor could feature in the film as he is already set to reprise his character of Superman in the multiple upcoming films. The actor has already spoken about his love for the character and how he would love to keep playing it.

“It’s a wonderful role. There’s a huge potential there for complex storytelling, and I’m looking forward to exploring those avenues. Come on, it’s Superman! You can’t be ….. at the idea of playing Superman for the rest of your life,” he said to The Guardian.

Meanwhile, the actor will reprise his role in the upcoming Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” He will be seen indulging in a face-off with Ben Affleck’s Batman.

On the other hand, “ Suicide Squad” concerns a set of supervillains who form a squad to execute a dangerous black-ops mission. They will work under the guidance of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). They will agree to take on the mission in exchange of lesser prison time.

Ayer has based the film on the comics “Suicide Squad” by John Ostrander. The star cast consists of Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach and Viola Davis. Richard Suckle, Charles Roven and Colin Wilson have produced the film. The film is being currently shot in Toronto and it opens Aug. 5, 2016.
