Ike Barinholtz is part of the ensemble cast of David Ayer’s upcoming film “Suicide Squad.” In his recent conversation, the actor gave a hint about his character.

"I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He’s a very troubled human being,” he said to Comic Book Movie. Barinholtz did not reveal the identity of his character; however, according to Cinemablend he is rumoured to play Dr. Hugo Strange who in the comics is depicted as a disturbed scientist. He is the arch nemesis of Batman and uses a stolen "concentrated lightning" machine to create fog in the night.

Bill Finger and Bob Kane have created the character, and he made his first appearance in “Detective Comics” No. 36. He has a genius-level intellect and practices psychology. He is the first villain to deduce the hero’s secret identity.

The identity of Barinholtz’s character is being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, the actor also spoke about the trailer of the film and director David Ayer.

“The trailer is very serious, but [director] David Ayer is a psychopath. As as much as he loves the dark and exploring the disturbed side of society, it’s not like you’re telling jokes, but if you can just kind of in the moment try to play things a little honestly,” he said.

“Suicide Squad” concerns a set of supervillains who form a squad to execute a dangerous black ops mission. They take up the task in exchange for clemency. Ayer has based the film on the comics “Suicide Squad” by John Ostrander. The star cast also consists of Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach and Viola Davis.

Richard Suckle, Charles Roven and Colin Wilson have produced the film and Roman Vasyanov has done the cinematography. It opens on Aug 5, 2016.
