There's a reason why you should take part in the multiplayer version of the upcoming GTA 5 game, titled GTA Online.

Previously revealed in a trailer video, Rockstar Games has revealed another fun fact about why the online component will be all the more enjoyable: 700 missions just waiting to be played.

Trusted Reviews reports that, in a Spanish website, Leslie Benzies, Rockstar Games director has revealed that GTA Online allows for players to go on these missions in several ways.

In effect, the 500 missions will be rotated, so that those who are playing online will be able to experience them differently. Additionally, there are also other things that you can achieve, from missions lying dormant within the map, get a phone call from other characters in the game about these missions, or just resort to the listing of missions in the game menus.

"At one point, and I can't remember exactly when, while working on the GTA 5 online multiplayer, we thought it must be something more than the typical online content," said Benzies in a statement quoted by Trusted Reviews. "Then we decided that it should operate as a separate unit."

Aside from the missions, a matchmaking system is also in the multiplayer. If you are not playing with your friends, then you don't have to worry about having to play alone online. The system will ensure that you are matched with someone who is of a similar rank or position to go on missions with.

GTA 5 is set to release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17, with the GTA Online becoming available come October 1.
