Activision has revealed a lot more for its upcoming shooter game, Call of Duty: Ghosts, even before the gamescom event. Following the anticipate multiplayer trailer as seen below, there have been confirmations about a Season Pass, collector's edition bundles, as well as a number of features that can be expected when the game rolls out.

The new features that can be expected include personalization of up to 10 soldiers, 30 new weapons and a dual-render technology so that using an eyepiece doesn't mean you'll be blind on your peripherals.

The Guardian also reports that new kill streaks, Strike packages, the previously reported destructible environments, and of course, multiplayer modes. But what is notable is the fact there is also a Ghosts smartphone app that can be synced with your Call of Duty Elite account. What is reminiscent of Battlefield's own Battlelog, the Ghosts app will serve as a second screen so that you avoid becoming vulnerable every time you switch players when online.

Admittedly, it's not yet a very refined nor encompassing feature, but there's still gamescom to look forward to, and Activision is likely to either present a demo or showcase more of the features for the game.

The collector's edition bundles have also been announced, with Activision confirming that there are two collector's edition bundles that will be released. GameSpot reports that Hardened and Prestige were confirmed, with the first pack having the steelbook case, soundtrack, and Free Fall multiplayer map, among others.

Prestige is a more prestigious (to say the least) of the two packs, as it contains not only all the freebies and items included in the Hardened pack, but also an additional 1080p tactical camera and carrying cases. The pricing for both editions have not yet been revealed to date.

A Season Pass has also been announced, which gives you access to four DLC map packs at the cost of $49.99. Season Pass holders will also be entitled to the Ghost Team Leader pack, where you can have a multiplayer character from the bonus digital content.

As an added come-on, Activision is also offering the ability to automatically upgrade from current to next-gen for both Xbox and PlayStation at no extra cost, but this feature is available only for a limited time.
