Warner Brothers and DC has showed some flexibility and tolerance when it comes to their extended cinemaverse. While previous reports say that they have been juggling schedules to make some movies make way for others, they even find ways to accommodate movies that would potentially get the interest of some fans. This was best demonstrated in the recent “Suicide Squad,” which although mainly classified as a B movie, has a surprising fan base anticipating a sequel as early as now.

To sweeten the excitement, another spinoff is set to air, titled “Gotham City Sirens.” This upcoming film will serve as the Harley Quinn spinoff that has been the subject of several rumours since “Suicide Squad” came out. As the title suggests, there will be more than one beauty that will be featured and it looks like there is a lot of room for Poison Ivy. As early as now, fans are already speculating who would be perfect for the role, but rumours have been leading toward no other than Megan Fox.

Bleeding Cool takes into account some circumstances pointing that the beautiful brunette might just get the role of the plant-loving seductress from Gotham. First is that Megan has been a comic book geek for almost all her life and has been in comic book productions for a big part of her career.

These include her role as April O’Neal in the “Ninja Turtles” movies and her playing Lois Lane in “Robot Chicken.” Lastly, what is astounding evidence is that she has been ordering comic books online that feature Poison Ivy interacting closely with Harley Quinn. This definitely could mean that she is up to something that involves Gotham’s seductive resident botanist.

Megan Fox’s comic book fancy and recent comic book purchases, however, do not guarantee any future castings on “Gotham City Sirens.” However, in this particular case, it just goes too well with the timing and the circling rumours about her future role. Even if her interest is true, there are no guarantees of her securing the role as scheduling and contractual issues could get in the way.

The release date for “Gotham City Sirens” has yet to be finalised. What we know so far is that it will be directed by David Ayer of “Suicide Squad” fame.
