Meghan Markle is this year’s most Googled actress. The "Suits" star topped Google's annual list which was released on Wednesday. "Allied" star Marion Cotillard got the second place in the said list while "Fuller House" star Jodie Sweetin is in the third place.

The huge surge in interest for Meghan started when there were rumours that she was dating Prince Harry. It was in October when the speculations started and on November, Meghan and Prince Harry confirmed their relationship.

The beautiful couple met in Toronto in May. That was the time when the prince was in town to launch the countdown to the 2017 Invictus Games.

The 35-year-old plays Rachel Zane on "Suits." Meghan is not only a wonderful actress but she is also a writer, editor and a UN Women Advocate for Women’s Leadership and Political Participation.

Meghan’s family background is quite interesting. Her mother is African-American and her dad is of Dutch-Irish descent. In an interview with Ebony, Meghan expressed that being biracial has been both a blessing and a curse for her in the world of acting. “I could get into twice as many rooms, but was turned down twice as often as many of my peers.”

For her education, Meghan studied International Relations. After which, she worked at the US embassy in Buenos Aires. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2003.

As for the other category winners in Google's list, Beyoncé reigned as the top Google-searched musician. On the other hand, Brad Pitt swept two categories, which are the most Google-searched actors and celebrity splits. The top three biggest search terms on the Internet are Powerball, Prince and Hurricane Matthew. The top three most searched people in general were Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Michael Phelps.
