“Girl Meets World” has aired its last episode titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” on Disney Channel. While viewers are hoping for more episodes to be shown in a different network, fans may be disheartened to know that Netflix will not be picking up the recently cancelled show.

Show co-creator Michael Jacobs has always been vocal about his desire for the show to last longer than three seasons. He even teased fans about a possible continuation of “Girl Meets Goodbye” in other networks.

But Netflix will not be the show's saviour according to the Wrap. Although Netflix seems uninterested about airing more episodes of the show, fans can still keep their hopes up that other networks, including Hulu for instance will pick it up.

Jacobs has earlier revealed that they were certainly having discussion with other platforms. He also believed that “Girl Meets World,” a follow-up show for “Boy Meets World,” should not have been cancelled.

The co-creator of the series revealed that they actually signed for four seasons. “I thought we would be able to tell stories through four seasons. That’s the way we set it up,” he told the Wrap. But Jacobs has also made it clear that he understands that things end.

Earlier this month, a campaign called “Paper Airplane Campaign” has been launched by fans to save “Girl Meets World.” Jacobs has expressed his gratitude for the campaign and said that it is something that fans came up with by themselves.

By launching the campaign, fans are hoping that the show will be picked up by other networks. He said that the fact there is an audience who’s been so loyal says a lot as networks only want to gather audiences. “Girl Meets World” aired in Australia through Disney Channel.
