“Girl Meets World” finale episode has seen Topanga (Danielle Fishel) having to face an important decision that can change their lives. She was offered a job in London, but ended up not accepting it and choosing to stay in the last episode of the series in its home network titled “Girl Meets Goodbye.” The show’s co-creator Michael Jacobs has spoken up about how the series has ended and explained Topanga’s decision.

Jacobs said Topanga is incredibly strong when it comes to decision-making. He said the character is not the type who would uproot her family for Trafalgar Square.

Jacobs, who is also a co-creator of “Boy Meets World,” cited that it’s actually one thing that Topanga has done before, when she gave up Yale for a fictional college because she loves Cory Matthews (Ben Savage). But Jacobs has also pointed out that the main part of the story was she found her own bay window right where she was.

Jacobs is happy that “Girl Meets World” had been renewed for season 3. However, he could have been happier if the show is picked up for a fourth season, as there are still a lot of stories to tell according to him.

“I had hoped to run at Disney Channel for four years but realized many shows stop after three,” he told Deadline. He also admits that the cast, as well as the natural stories may have outgrown the venue.

“The last thing I would want for a loyal audience would be to leave over 200 episodes of a franchise unfinished,” Jacobs said. But he share that he also wished the possible finish line to have obvious space to keep going.

“Girl Meets World” aired in Australia through Disney Channel. There are reports that the show will have a new home network, but none has been officially confirmed yet.
