“Girl Meets World” has ended with “Girl Meets Goodbye” and co-creator Michael Jacobs could not help but reflect on the show, as well as “Boy Meets World, ” which was another show he co-created. Jacobs has talked about the legacies he hopes that the original show and the follow-up have brought to the viewers.

Jacobs has shared hat if there is any legacy that both of the shows have left, he hopes it would be that the first show has made its viewers realise that the most wonderful thing that the world offers is love. “But then I read articles written on college campuses about the difficulties of trying to be Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel),” he said.

As for “Girl Meets World,” the co-creator has noted that he hopes the show has shown the value of friendship. “Boy Meets World” focused on the love story of Topanga and Cory, which was meant to last forever.

The follow-up show, on the other hand, has focused on the friendship of Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter). Their friendship was meant to last forever too. Jacobs told Deadline that the most powerful message of “Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World” is that when you meet the world, love and friendship help you through.

“Girl Meets World” has been one of Disney Channel’s best received series. Several fans were surprised when the network announced the show’s cancellation earlier this month.

Jacob has commented about the show’s cancellation in its home network, saying he hoped that it will run at Disney Channel for four years but realised many shows stop after three. He also thinks that the cast, as well as the natural stories may have outgrown the venue.

“Girl Meets World” aired in Australia through Disney Channel. There are reports that the show will have a new home network, but none has been officially confirmed yet.
