According to a London drug fixer, the late singer purchased crack heroin shortly before her death on of July 23, 2010.

A drug fixer named Tony Azzopardi claims Amy Winehouse bought street value heroin and crack worth £1,200. The 56-year-old fixer came out because he says he wanted the singer's family to "know the truth about what happened". Azzopardi was introduced to Winehouse by her troubled ex Blake Fielder-Civil, who also had a public battle with crack and other drugs. The fixer has spoken to the Daily Mail and has revealed the details of the singer's illegal purchase. Azzopardi says Winehouse was inside a black taxi cab when she met him at Camden's Good Mixer Bar at around 11:30 PM the night before she died.

The fixer claims that he rode inside the taxi with the singer around West Hampstead, where she revealed she needed help to score some drugs. According to his statement, Azzopardi then proceeded to call a local dealer so the singer can get a hold of drugs. Azzopardi says that he then handed half ounces of crack and heroin worth £1,200 before he hopped out of the cab nearing the singer's Camden Square home.

Last week, the police confirmed that there were no drugs or paraphernalia in the singer's home. Also, the Winehouse family says Azzopardi's statement does not match the events leading up to Amy's final hours. However, Azzopardi's solicitor Tim Bittlestone says they have much to say. "Myself and Azzopardi attended Kentish Town police station. We will speak to them again on Monday" says Bittlestone in a report by The Daily Mail.
