It was recently confirmed by Funimation, the anime maker, that “Attack on Titan” season 2 is said to be released on April 1. "Attack of Titan" season two will feature new monters and better fighting stance. Apparently, those who have been fighting the Titans are also Titans themselves.

Fans were able to see the second season’s trailer last year. However, no other details were given besides that trailer. Recently though, it was confirmed that April 1 is the release date of the second season. If fans were to look back on the trailer, they would see many new Titans that will be introduced in the upcoming season. The most notable Titan to be introduced is the hairy Beast Titan.

Titans are giant, humanoid and man-eating monsters attacking the city of Shinganshina. However, no one knows where they are from. Furthermore, no one knows why they are attacking the people in the city. Fans know that the only remaining parts of where humanity is contained are behind three walls: Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sheena.

“Attack of Titan” features the protagonists Eren Yeager, his sister Mikasa and his friend Armin. They will be back in action in the second season. However, the characters will have more finesse as they battle with the Titans unlike in the first season. The first wall has been breached in the first season, and the second season shows the second wall being crossed by the Titans.

The upcoming season two will be the most chilling, according to Polygon, as something came up. Apparently, the “Titans have been protecting us from other Titans this whole time.” This means that there is a high possibility of worse things to come beyond the walls where humanity is contained. This information will not be known until its official release on April 1.

In other news, two “Attack of Titan” movies will be released before the second season will be released. There will be two, 120-minute recap movies that will cover the events of the first season. “Guren no Yumiya” and “Jiyuu no Tsubasa” will be played in select theatres and will only be showing for one night. “Guren no Yuniya” will be showing on March 27 while “Jiyuu no Tsubasa” will follow on March 28 or 29. The dates are dependent on the specific theatre. Polygon said that a small teaser for the second season will play at the end of the second film.
