“Arrow” lead star Stephen Amell (Oliver/Green Arrow) has thanked fans of the American television series for its renewal. The actor said they consider themselves lucky for six seasons and teased that there is a possibility that the show might reach up to 200 episodes.

Amell has taken to his personal Facebook account to express gratitude for the show’s renewal. He has also thanked Warner Bros, the CW, producers and the crew.

“We are still here because of you. We have a chance to get to 200 episodes, because of you. I have the job of my dreams, because of you. Thank you,” the actor wrote on Facebook.

“Arrow” is currently on its fifth season. Each of the previous episodes of the show was composed of 23 episodes.

Amell’s character is the main protagonist of the series. His character is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Oliver is billionaire playboy Oliver Queen who eventually becomes a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow.

Apart from his role as Oliver/Green Arrow in the show, Amell has also starred as Casey Jones in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” in 2016. He has won Best Performance by an Actor in a Guest Role Dramatic Series from Gemini Awards for “ReGenesis.” He was also nominated at the Young Hollywood Award for Super Superhero category for “Arrow.”

Other notable characters in “Arrow” also include soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), IT expert and skilled hacker Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and former assassin Sara Lance/Black Canary (Caity Lotz). It also features aspiring vigilante Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), his sister Thea/Speedy (Willa Holland) and attorney-turned-vigilante Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).

The CW has announced last month at the Television Critics Association press tour that “Arrow” has been renewed for a sixth season. The show is from Bonanza Productions in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television.

Aside from “Arrow,” the network has also announced the renewal of “Supergirl” (season 3) “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (season 3) and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (season 3). “The Flash” (season 4), “Jane the Virgin” (season 4) and “Supernatural” (season 13) have also received a green light.

Andrew Kreisberg, Wendy Mericle. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter are the executive producers of the series. “Arrow” airs Tuesdays at 8:10 a.m. on Fox8 in Australia. The second half of “Arrow” season 5 has premiered on Jan. 25 on the CW in the US.
