The latest episode of “Arrow” titled “Who Are You” has seen the real Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) saying goodbye. Black Siren, another character played by Cassidy, has made an appearance in the last episode too. She was back with her evil side, which has been a good thing in “Who Are You” as Green Arrow/Oliver (Stephen Amell) found a motivation to find a new Black Canary.

“Arrow” viewers can recall that finding a new Black Canary was Green Arrow’s promise to Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). And he did find a way to fulfil that promise.

“Someone out there, there is a woman worthy of Laurel’s legacy,” Oliver said. He uttered the words while he was standing at a ruined statue of Black Canary.

In the final scene of the last episode, fans have gotten a glimpse of a new character that has the potential to fill Oliver’s void. She possesses the sass of Cassidy’s Black Siren and the smarts of District Attorney Laurel Lance. These qualities are among the best things about her.

The still unnamed character is a familiar face. “The Walking Dead” star Juliana Harkavy has been cast to star in “Arrow” season 5.

Harkavy was seen enjoying a drink while at a bar in Hub City. All of a sudden, two men were seen making an attempt to abuse a woman. The new character has approached them.

“Seriously, could you two be any more of a cliche? I thought people like you only existed in the movies,” Harkavy’s character said. She told them that they are trying to overcompensate for their lack of manhood. They do so by taking it out on a woman who is not able to protect herself.

Harkavy’s character was not named in “Who Are You.” Now we know why “Arrow” season 5 episode 10 was titled as such as the new character’s name left viewers asking about her identity.

Harkavy’s character was not named in the previous episode of “Arrow." Going by her undercover name, Tina Boland, is actually Dinah Drake per Entertainment Weekly. Drake is a brash and tactful detective who is not fond of vigilantes wearing leather suits.

“Arrow” airs Tuesdays at 8:10 a.m. on Fox8 in Australia. The second half of “Arrow” season 5 has premiered on Jan. 25 on the CW in the United States. Last month, CW has announced that the show has been green lighted for season 6.
