British no. 1 Andy Murray has received a wild card entry to the 2014 China Open where he will join Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and the 2014 US Open Grand Slam champion, Marin Cilic on September 27 onwards.

Murray is currently in an unfamiliar position after he dropped out of the world's top 10 tennis players' ranking following his defeat to Cilic at the US Open. The 27-year-old Murray chance to play at the upcoming ATP World Tour Finals in London has been compromised because the tournament only features the world top 8 tennis players.

Thus far, Tomas Berdych occupies the eight and final spot, and Murray needs to outrank either Grigor Dimitrov and Milos Raonic to make it to the tournament.

At the time being, Murray has three events on queue until November. To be able to qualify for the World Tour Finals, the tennis superstar needs to reach the championship round at either Shanghai or Paris Masters.

The Scot's wild card entry to the China Open will increase his chances to qualify for the World Tour Finals in London and he is pretty excited about it.

"I'm excited to announce that I will play in the China Open," said Murray. "I have some great memories of playing tennis in China over the years, I love the country and there are plenty of passionate fans here who enjoy their tennis, so I'm looking forward to competing."

Meanwhile, Murray's five star luxury hotel Cromlix House is also not doing as good as his career when it recently failed hygiene inspection.

Chez Roux, the restaurant in the tennis star's five-star luxury hotel needs hygiene improvements. It was inspected by Stirling Council back in July and was issued an "improvement required" rating, which means that the restaurant has not achieved the requirements imposed by the food hygiene law.

According to the bosses of the hotel, the issue started from an isolated incident with a handwash sink and it has already been resolved.

The hotel was named Scotland's Hotel of the year 27 days after it has opened in April.
