Batista's future in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) remains in question as he allegedly extended his contract with Marvel to include Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Avengers 3.

Back in January when Batista returned to the WWE scene, he revealed that he was back for his big final run. At that time, he won the Royal Rumble match and the Wrestlemania 30. Unfortunately, fans were unhappy because they thought that the Wrestlemania spot deserved to be had by Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. Batista lost to Bryan shortly and he never came back after thinking that losing hurts his value.

Apart from losing to Bryan, Batista was also blamed for CM Punk leaving the WWE. Rumours suggest that Punk wanted to wrestle in the Wrestlemania main event before retiring and he felt bypassed and disrespected by giving Batista the match right after he returned to WWE.

According to PWS, Batista might not come back after he signed a contract with Marvel that entails a number of promotions.

Thus far, both Batista and CM Punk might be out of the WWE.

Meanwhile, the Guardians of the Galaxy is the most lucrative 2014 movie for Batista, where he has been praised for his role as Drax the Destroyer.

Marvel is renewing Batista's contract and will add more projects for the former WWE wrestler. Due to risk of injuries from working in the WWE, his contract might not allow him to engage with and continue working for WWE.

According to an interview with Steve Persall of the Tampa Bay Times, Batista revealed that he was unhappy with the creative direction and the storylines of WWE.

"I put it aside for now, and that really had a lot to do with my obligations to Marvel," Batista said. "But it also had to do with the fact that (the WWE and I) weren't seeing eye-to-eye, creatively."
