Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 Tablet’s Successor With Snapdragon 805 Processor Likely Sighted in AnTuTu Benchmark Testing

Amazon has massively slashed prices of its Kindle eBook readers and Fire tablets across-the-board. The promotional deals on Kindle eReaders end on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, while most of the Fire tablets are discounted until April 1.

Customers can now grab the well-accepted 6-inch Kindle Paperwhite eReader for just US$100 (AU$142), $20 less than its original price. The first and basic Kindle is available at just US$60, saving customers US$20 upfront with free shipping.

The Kindle Paperwhite touts a high resolution display with a pixel density of 300 pixels per inch (ppi), and its in-built adjustable light makes it easier to read at any time of the day. The eReader is lighter than a paperback and contains thousands of ebooks.

The 3G-enabled version of the Kindle Paperwhite (with Special offers) is discounted by US$30. The eReader can now be purchased at $160 (AU$227).

The low-priced 7-inch Kindle Fire (Wi-Fi) tablet is available at US$40 (AU$56), $10 off from its original price. The deal ends on Feb. 14.

The 7-inch Kindle Fire tablet sports a 1024 x 600 display and 8GB of internal storage. The tablet is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz processor and runs on Fire OS 5 with up to seven hours of battery life.

Meanwhile, the Kindle for Kids bundle is also massively discounted, now available for US$80 (AU$113), saving customers US$60. The pack includes the latest Kindle, two-year accident protection and a Kindle kids friendly cover. The deal is also good through Feb. 14.

You can also save US$25 on the Kindle Voyage Essential bundle and get it for just US$255 (AU$362). The Fire Kids Edition Essential Bundle is up for US$99 (AU$140), down from its original price of US$133. The Fire HD 6 Kids Edition can be purchased at US$120 (AU$170), saving customers US$30 upfront.

Other promotional deals on Amazon include US$50 off on the Fire HDX 8.9, which is now available at US$430 (AU$610). The offer is valid until April 1.
