50-year-old Chinese woman defies age in stunning bikini photos

In late 2015, a 59-year-old French bikini model with grey hair rocked the fashion world by showing being sexy is not an exclusive domain of younger women. Her Asian counterpart, a 50-year-old Chinese woman, is now an internet sensation when her bikini photos went viral.

Ye Wen from Xinyang, Henan Province, has a grown-up son, but maintains a svelte figure – which women half her age would envy - by exercising two hours daily. She goes to the gym twice a week and swims every day, reports Express.

She had swam the 500-mile Strait of Malacca and plans to swim next the Han River in South Korea. Ye Wen began her fitness regime 20 years ago through swimming.

Ye Wen, who looks up to the body of Victoria’s Secret model as her ideal, says she plans to swim until she reaches 80. Her ability to defy the years is reflected in the golden girl posting her photo when she was 20, which showed little change in body size 30 years after.

And while Chinese women are conservative when it comes to wearing bikini on the beach by buying swimwear with more conservative designs such as ones with short skirts, flouncing and wider straps, not Ye Wen whose photos show string bikinis and buxom frontal assets that could compete with American women breasts.

Her photos had become viral with over 3 million mentions in Weibo, China’s most popular microblogging site. Many Chinese netizens find it difficult to believe that Ye Wen had hit the half-century mark but looks so young. Some admired her body and perseverance, but one user wrote, “I want a good body but I do not want to exercise.”
