Xiaomi had announced the MI TV Box 3 Enhanced Edition at the start of March in China, with the device now available for just $77.99 (AU$103) on Gear Best on a flash sale that will expire in two days.

The Mi TV Box 3 Enhanced Edition is one of the most powerful Android TV box devices available on the market. It is fueled by MediaTek MT683 SoC, which has a recorded score of 66,105 on the AnTuTu benchmarking app. The CPU and GPU 3D have been enhanced by 80 percent and 240 percent, respectively, to perform better than their predecessor model, MIUI reported.

The SoC houses a 64-bit octa-core processor that includes 2 x Cortex 72 dual-core, each performing at 2 GHz, and 4 x Cortex A53 processor, each clocking at 1.6 GHz. The SoC also consists of the Power VR GX6250. The Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition also includes support for OpenGL ES 3.1 which promotes improved graphics. The SoC is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM.

For connectivity, the new Xiaomi TV Box is equipped with 802.11 ac Wi-Fi connectivity that offers up to 300 Mbps of data transfer rate. It also carries support for v4.1 Bluetooth. The Bluetooth remote control that is included in the package of the device can be used for enjoying games on the TV box. It features a cooling system with an inbuilt fan to automatically regulate the internal heat of the device.

The Xiaomi Mi TV Box 3 Enhanced Edition offers support for videos of 4K resolution at 60 GHz. The device comes preinstalled with MIUI TV software from Xiaomi, which is a modified edition of the Android 5.1 Lollipop. The 2 USB 2.0 and HDMI 2.0 ports are the other connectivity options available on the device.

The Mi TV Box 3 is now available on a preorder flash sale with a pricing of $77.99 (AU$103). The device is exclusively sold in China but Gear Best is selling at that price to worldwide buyers with free shipping service. The flash sale will end in two days after which it will carry a regular price tag of $84.
