Will Smith and his kids Jaden and Willow's famous reactions caught on camera was thought to be for Miley Cyrus' racy performance at the 2013 Video Music Awards. However, it was one big misleading photo picked up by most major news sites that quickly made its round all over the Internet.

The Smiths' shocked reactions, with Willow's jaw dropped in horror, turns out to be exaggerated as the three were just chewing gums and were actually reacting to Lady Gaga's opening performance at the VMAs.

Jaden had the most intense reaction, who seemed confused when Lady Gaga entered the stage in an ultraweird nun outfit.

Lady Gaga was able to impressively transform herself through several costume changes while singing Applause and dancing to it. At one point, she wore her former signature bob hair cut using a wig.

It seemed like her performance was a kind of retrospective of some of her looks for the past years. Later, she strips down to her underwear just like what the queen of twerk Miley did in her performance.

The audience already knew what to expect when it comes Lady Gaga, who is known for her ostentatiousness and shocking performances, unlike Cyrus who made some audience members and TV viewers feeling 'violated'. Compared to her previous performances, this one looks tamer.
