Models prepare backstage before the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York

The Lexington Armory's backstage is in a frenzy hour before the much-awaited Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Models and angels are putting their make-up done, some are taking selfies and photos of themselves, while others are talking to reporters about how they feel at that moment.

While most are nervous, British Model Jourdan Dunn feels otherwise. "At this precise moment, I'm pretty calm, actually. I'm not nervous yet, but I will be."

She does have fears of her own. "I hope I don't show my nipple. I hope I don't fall. I hope I'm an angel gliding on the runway."

Adriana Lima, for her part, has seen the backstage scene for 13 years. But she shares to USA Today how she survives this day which is nerve-wracking for some: "(E)njoy it. I'm just having fun with this. That's how I roll."

The Brazilian-born model also shares that the fashion show is all about personality. "That's what the Victoria's Secret show is all about - enjoying yourself. I'm not worried. We're all going to do a good job."

Meanwhile, the angels talk to Huffington Post about the fun things about them. Lindsay reveals that she was studying biological sciences prior to her modeling stint. Joan Smalls says she would probably be a psychiatrist if she is not a model.

Some of them apparently have creative minds. When asked about what technology they wish would have been invented 10 years from now, Behati Prinsloo says, "(a) mermaid tail that you can actually swim in. Like a real, legit one to make you a mermaid."

Others have a more techie invention in their minds. Lindsay wants a "way to edit your Instagrams after they're posted," while Jourdan wishes for "phones (that) have a button where you can quickly unsend a text message."

Newly single Miranda Kerr may be absent from the show due to a prior commitment in Japan, but she sends an Instagram post of good luck to her fellow angels from the Land of the Morning Sun with a photo of her and fellow angels during a previous VS fashion show.

The annual fashion show will be aired on CBS on Dec. 10, Tuesday, both at CBS and at the Victoria's Secret's All Access site.
