After splitting from long-time partner Vanessa Paradis, actor Johnny Depp moved on from his failed relationship with "The Rum Diary" co-star Amber Heard and the two are now reportedly engaged. The engagement news reached the 41-year-old French singer and she has some not-so-nice words about it.

The Showbiz Spy report claims Johnny Depp's ex is enraged that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star will be marrying Amber Heard while the idea of tying the knot was never considered when they were still together. An unnamed source revealed in the report that Ms Paradis thinks the 50-year-old actor is just having some kind of mid-life crisis.

"Johnny always said he never wanted to the knot, that marriage was just a meaningless piece of paper. So Vanessa is obviously shocked that he's marrying Amber. Vanessa has convinced herself Amber is just another Hollywood social climber who's using Johnny to boost her career - and her bank balance," the source stated.

In the middle of the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard engagement reports, Vanessa Paradis was spotted sporting a new look with her short, curly brown hair. The French singer stepped out of Aroma Café in Los Angeles with her new hairstyle and hairstylist friend John Nollet last Wednesday, January 16, just days after E!News reported about Amber Heard wearing an important ring on her left ring finger.

According to the Christian Post report, Johnny Depp's publicist has confirmed the end of the actor's 14-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis in 2012 before revealing his new romantic relationship with Ms Heard in June 2012. The publicist's statement reads: "Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children."

The actor has admitted in the Rolling Stone magazine that the breakup was not easy since the last couple of years he was with Vanessa became a bit bumpy. "Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I'm in because you're constantly away or they're away and so it's hard. It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids," Mr Depp explained.

Even though Johnny Depp is no longer with Vanessa Paradis, the actor declared that he will always have a high regard for the French singer as the mother of his 15-year-old daugher Lily Rose and 12-year-old son Jack. The actor shared: "You'll always know each other, and you're always gonna be in each other's lives because of those kids. You might as well make the most of it."
